Bandai has announced the next Tamaverse DL Area for the Tamagotchi Uni, and this one arrives with maximum personality. GalGal Street (ギャルぎゃるストリート) brings gal and ganguro fashion culture straight to your Uni — hip accessories, a fashion show, and what Bandai calls the "raddest of Gal Tamas" all in one stop.
The area goes live November 19, 2026 (JST). To get in, you'll need the GalGal Street Tamaverse Ticket, which sells for ¥990 at the Tamaverse Ticket Shop. It's an online download only — you won't find it on store shelves. Before you travel, update your Uni to firmware 3.0.0 or higher: open the Care menu, pick the Network icon, and let the update finish. And keep in mind this one needs Wi-Fi, so get connected before you hop through the portal.
Once you're through, the main square doubles as a runway. Gal Tamas work the catwalk in fashion shows while you kit them out with area-exclusive food, snacks, items, accessories, furniture, and rooms. The new cast runs seven strong: Bangsinotchi, Mamedecotchi, Gangurpatchi, Galhimetchi, Radmimitchi, Luvlitchi, and Cool Melody. Between the names and the outfits, these gals have personality to spare.
The headline attraction is the exclusive minigame, Totally Rad Dance. It's a classic Tamagotchi memory test: memorize a sequence of A, B, and C button commands, then tap them back in order. Strong results pay out 3000 Gotchi Points, which is a very solid haul for one round of button-pressing.
If you've visited earlier DL Areas like Baby's Dream, you'll notice the temperature change right away. Baby's Dream is soft and sleepy; GalGal Street is loud, shiny, and a little bit ridiculous, and it knows it. It's ganguro-flecked gal culture translated into Tamagotchi terms, and the translation is gloriously on the nose — exactly the kind of offbeat charm the Uni does best.
A couple of practical notes before you spend those ¥990. You can only visit one DL Area at a time through the Tama Portal, and switching to another area deletes any placed or equipped DL-area-exclusive items. You also can't switch while you're raising a DL-area-exclusive character, so choose your runway moment wisely. The good news: your ticket's DL Code links to your device and can be linked up to three times, so there's a little wiggle room.
For fans who love the Uni's rotating content, GalGal Street looks like the most fashion-forward, personality-packed stop yet — playful, pure fun, and the kind of thing that makes this little device hard to put down.
