The short version: TamaBuddy is a browser-based virtual pet. It collects almost nothing, stores almost everything on your device, and shares nothing.
What we collect
- Nothing from you personally. There's no sign-up, no account, no email address, no payment, and no personal identification. We don't ask for your name, and we never ask for a password.
- Basic, necessarily-anonymous usage: your pet's stats and lifecycle (so it can continue where you left off). This is stored only in your browser's own local storage (localStorage) on your device. It is not transmitted to us.
What we store and where
- Your pet game state (stats, age, species) is kept in your browser's local storage. It stays on your computer or phone. Clearing your browser data or using a different browser/device means starting a fresh egg.
- The website itself is static — it has no database, no user accounts, and no server-side storage of visitor data.
What we share
- Nothing. We do not sell, rent, or share your data with anyone, for any purpose.
- We do not use third-party advertising trackers, analytics beacons, or social media pixels. If analytics tools are added later, this policy will be updated to say so clearly.
Cookies
We do not use cookies. The only persistence mechanism is your browser's local storage, which requires no cookies.
Third-party services
The site may load fonts or other static assets from a CDN to improve appearance, but these requests carry no personal data and are not used for tracking.
Your rights
Because we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing to access, correct, or delete on our side. If you want to clear your pet, clear your browser's site data for this domain, or use a fresh private window.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update the date above and, where relevant, make the change visible in the site footer and blog.
