September's free LOGGER set keeps the Uni's monthly item drop going

October 03, 2026

Bandai has kept a small promise going all year. Every month in 2026, the Tamagotchi Uni gets one free set of four themed items, delivered through a download code. September's set is LOGGER, and it arrived on September 14 at 9:00 AM JST. The four items are an Orange Helmet, a Dust Mask, a Chainsaw Prop, and a Log. That is the entire set, and that is kind of the charm.

The theme is forest-lumberjack. Dress your Uni in the helmet and mask, hand it the chainsaw and the log, and it is ready to take on the toughest trials the Tamaverse woods can throw at it. At least cosmetically. There is no button-pressing minigame hiding behind these items, no new mechanic to learn. The chainsaw is pure show. That is what makes it fun: props and personality instead of another layer of systems.

Claiming the set takes about a minute. Enter the 16-character download code on the device through the NETWORK menu, then INPUT CODE. You will need a Wi-Fi connection to pull the items down. There is no announced end date, so nothing is disappearing soon, but there is also no reason to wait.

What makes this worth writing about is not any single item. It is the rhythm Bandai has settled into. April was Easter Joy. May was KAIJU. June was Rainy Day. July was HULA. August was COOL. September is LOGGER. One set a month, same route to claim it, no end date announced.

Notice what none of that costs: nothing. This is the opposite of the limited-edition hardware colorways that carry a real price tag and sell out in an afternoon. Instead, Bandai feeds the Uni a steady trickle of free outfit drops, the kind of cadence that turns a virtual pet into a slow dressing-up hobby. Players who have claimed every drop now have a small wardrobe to page through, plus a record of the whole year: the holiday colors of April, the monster-movie nonsense of May, the rain-soaked June. There is a reason to check in every month, and for a site like this one that is exactly the point. Small and reliable beats big and sporadic when you are trying to keep people coming back.

The program rewards regular Tamaverse play without demanding it. Skipping September costs you nothing except the orange helmet. And the device keeps feeling supported well past the point where most gadgets go quiet, because the company keeps sending it new things to wear.

The LOGGER set is up now. If you have not looked at the NETWORK menu in a while, this month is a good excuse to start.
